Curtain Raisers + Choreographic Residencies

Yorke Dance Project recognises that there are few bigger influences on a young person’s creative development than the experience of meeting and working with professional artists.

These unique residences offer the experience of working intensively with a company member for 3-6 days to create a curtain-raiser to be performed as a prologue to YDP’s show at their home venue. Each session begins with a general warm-up and choreographic insight into a specific work which is then used creatively by the participants to inspire a short work to open the show.
