In April, YDP hired renowned choreographer and teacher Stephen Pelton as the company’s associate director. Pelton is the artistic director of the London-based Stephen Pelton Dance Theatre, founded in San Francisco in 1993. A highly sought-after teacher of Limon-based contemporary technique, Pelton teaches students and professionals in the UK and throughout Europe. Working in tandem, Ms Yorke-Edgell and Mr Pelton will create an environment of excellence in which all of the company’s projects can flourish.
