Adrian Plaut

Lighting Designer

Adrian has worked as a Lighting Technician at The Royal Opera House. He was Associate to Peter Mumford for Ashley Paige’s This House Will Burn for The Royal Ballet on the main stage and designed the lighting for Bird Song for Siobhan Davies Dance in the Linbury Theatre. In the 2017/18 Season he realised the lighting for Kenneth MacMillan’s Sea of Troubles, performed by Yorke Dance Project as part of Kenneth MacMillan: a National Celebration. He has worked extensively with dance and drama companies in the UK and Australia, including the Old Vic, Cambridge Theatre Company, Australian Dance Theatre, Rambert, Richard Alston Dance Company, Siobhan Davies Dance and English National Opera. He has designed extensively for Yorke Dance Project since the company’s UK launch in 2009. He has designed the lighting for works by Richard Alston, Mark Baldwin, Jeremy James, Charlotte Edmonds, Wendy Houstoun, Lea Anderson, Siobhan Davies (In Plain Clothes, Bird Song and Two Quartets), Maresa von Stockert (Marjorie’s World Unhinged, Glacier and TrAPPED), Robert Cohan (Canciones del Alma, Lacrymosa and Twilight) and Yolande Yorke-Edgell (Divisions on a Ground, Strandgade 30, City Limitless, Post Etiquette, Unfold to Centre and Untethered).
